🌍 Together, let's build a better future for drug users in Togo

On September 24th, a crucial workshop was held to discuss the issues related to drug use in Togo.

Why this workshop?

As highlighted by a UNODC report, the number of people using drugs in Africa continues to increase. In Togo, this reality is accentuated by strong stigmatization and criminalization of drug use. However, these people need access to appropriate health care and support.
The objectives of our project:

  • Fight against stigma: It is essential to change mentalities and consider people who use drugs as individuals in their own right, with specific rights and needs.
  • Improve access to care: We want to ensure that all people who need it can benefit from quality care, adapted to their needs.
  • Strengthen partnerships: By working together, we can multiply our impact and create a strong network of support.

Concrete actions that we will implement:

  • Awareness: We will conduct information campaigns to combat preconceived ideas and promote an approach based on public health.
  • Training of health professionals: We will train health professionals to welcome drug users without judgment and offer them appropriate care.
  • Support for drug users: We will set up support programs to help these people integrate socially and improve their quality of life.

Why is your support important?

By sharing this publication, you help to raise awareness of our project and mobilize as many people as possible around this cause. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of drug users in Togo.
